Jan Kral

Raised in a Christian home in Boca Raton, Florida, USA, Jan came to saving faith in Christ, was baptized, and became a church member at age 13.  God gave her the spiritual gifts of helps and service, and she has served in her churches in nearly every possible capacity since that time.

God put a call to Russia on Jan’s heart at age 16, and she spent many hours for many years praying for and writing to Russian believers who were imprisoned for their faith, copying out phrases and Bible verses in Russian – a language she did not know.  After graduating as salutatorian from Boca Raton Community High School in 1986, Jan enrolled in Seattle Pacific University to study Russian in a Christian setting, where her studies included a 2-month trip to the Soviet Union and Communist East Europe.  Upon graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1989 with a degree in European Studies–Russian Track, Jan took her first job in Rome, Italy, working with Russian refugees. Jan also holds an Intermediate Italian Certificate from Middlebury College (1990), a Russian for Reading Knowledge Certificate from the University of Wisconsin (1994), and a Teaching English as a Foreign Language Certificate from Global Leadership College (2016).

Despite her background and training in Russian, it was not until 2017 that Jan was finally able to move to Moscow to teach biology. Once she arrived in Russia, God led her to Moscow Bible Church, where she soon began to serve in administration, becoming a member in 2018.  Within a few years, God called her to pursue full-time service.  

As the Church Administrator at Moscow Bible, Jan serves in administration, hospitality, new-comer assimilation, discipleship, youth ministry, English club, personal assistance to the pastors, discipleship, and evangelism.

She has 2 grown children in their 20s:  daughter, Lora, and son, John.
